There is another side to joining a gym, and that is the enthusiastic support you will find from other members. Everyone is in that gym for a purpose and we like to see our members encouraging each other and bonding as they sweat it out. Initially, many people tend to keep themselves to themselves and concentrate on weight loss, but after a while the barriers break down and friendships are formed. That is one of the bonuses of working out alongside other people: you share the pain but you also share the pleasure of a good workout, one that revitalizes you and your fellow members.
